About Me

Hi, I’m Brad, a personal injury lawyer based out of Austin.

I grew up near Portland, earning my undergraduate degree from Oregon State University before heading south to the University of Texas at Austin, where I completed a JD/MBA dual degree program.

Before I had even finished law school, my wife and I decided to make Texas home. Our daughter was born during COVID, and we moved to Austin just before her first birthday. Austin is all she’s ever known, and at this point, we’re happy to have brought her here.

I’m usually working, but when I’m not, you’ll find me chasing my daughter around a local park or in our backyard, or avoiding home projects. I’ve recently developed an affinity for good ramen. And between that and Austin’s taco and BBQ restaurants, most weekends I drag my girls to one of these types of restaurants.

I started this blog initially as an outlet to post the legal research I do while at work, but realized that it can also serve to help people who find themselves suddenly dealing with the stress and confusion that follow an accident. With that in mind, this site will be split between a legal research section (for lawyers) and a section for people who may have questions after finding themselves in an accident. I will also probably post on other topics from time to time about whatever interests me.
